Job Description:Responsible for evaluation and credit performance of new account credit strategies for US Card that maximizes profits and minimizes credit losses and other risk exposures. Provides and directs complex analysis on product strategies to establish risk threshold and ensure company goals are met. Analyzes performance trends to identify issues, opportunities and recommend credit actions. Provides governance and control for existing and new credit risk strategies. Communicates with, influences, and presents to peers and senior management the FLU, Internal Audit, external Regulators, and Enterprise Risk partners. Industry risk management and strong SAS or SQL skill set required.Primary responsibilities include:Main responsibility will be to conduct analysis on the US Card new account credit strategies and to identify new or emerging credit risksIn addition associate may also be involved in:Reviewing and approving strategies to ensure company goals are metReviewing and analyzing recent vintage asset quality and emerging trends and risks Oversight of pilot programs, champion/challenger strategies and testsReviewing strategy changes and providing management recommendations around credit risk and rewardEstablishing program performance guardrails and evaluating performanceRequired Skills: BS/BA 5+ years supporting Consumer and/or Small Business Products with a significant level of experience in unsecured lending or comparable experience in Credit Risk, Model Development, Model Risk Management, Compliance, Credit Review, or similar functionsPrior experience working in Credit Card related rolesProficiency in using MS Word, EXCEL and PowerPointIntellectually Curious with 10+ years of experience in financial servicesAnalytical: ability to pull own data and interpret results with strong SAS/SQL skillsAble to communicate and influence Senior ExecutivesAble to provide a strong point of viewDesired Skills:Knowledge of Credit Risk Management Processes, Risk Appetite Setting, Strategy Change review and approval, Loss ForecastingTableau / R / Python knowledgeAdvanced degree in business, economics, finance, quantitative, and/or professional certifications*This is an individual contributor positionManages teams that are responsible for performing data management, complex analysis and modeling that maximizes profits and asset growth and minimizes credit and operating losses and other risk exposures. Their team would provide data / IM, analytical support on various product strategies to ensure company goals are met. Coordinates the production of databases, performance reports for senior mgt. Manages the review and analysis of trends in current population distributions and recommends strategies. Directs the development of more complex databases, program models to extract data and use databases to provide statistical and financial modeling. Oversees the data design, analysis of portfolio trends, concerning credit score cutoffs, loss trends, portfolio dynamics, and bureau scoring criteria. Integrates the analysis team with other corporate units to insure alignment of analysis with business strategies and objectives. Responsible for hiring and training Risk Analysis Specialist and Risk Analysis Analyst. Master's degree or large data experience preferred; Programming experience like SQL, SAS preferred; 7+ years experience.Shift:1st shift (United States of America)Hours Per Week: 40Full time
