Philanthropy will build and oversee the organization?s Major Gifts &. Planned Giving program, and play a vital role in fundraising for the. organization?s capital campaign project. She/He cultivates relationships with past. and current sponsors and supporters and provides new opportunities for increasing. donations, underwriting and sponsorships. The Director also builds relationships with. new supporters, researching candidates for giving, planning giving events, and attending. relevant community, social and private events. She/He believes in the organization?s mission and. spreads the organization?s purpose and case statements.. DUTIES AND. RESPONSIBILITIES include. the following. Other duties may be. assigned.. Assists CEO and Board. of Directors with fundraising for the organization?s Pet Village & Adoption. Center capital campaign.. Assists CEO in. guidance of Major Gifts & Planned Giving committee.. Creates and. implements strategic planning for increasing levels of giving from current. supporters and for cultivating relationships with new supporters.. Cultivates and steers. donors toward planned giving activities, major gifts, underwriting and. sponsorships.. Schedules, plans, and. oversees donor cultivation events and activities.. cultivation in donor software and maintains scheduled contact with major gifts &. planned giving candidates.. Prior experience working on a. 5 to 7 years? experience with proven success securing donations, gifts, and sponsorships. as a Fundraising, Development and/or Major Gifts professional.. Basic knowledge and. understanding of Planned Giving cultivation and opportunities. Understanding of media relations,. story relevancy, and the components of a compelling story to communicate. mission and purpose..
