We design, develop, integrate, market and service advanced lithography machines, which enable our customers - the worlds leading chipmakers to reduce the feature size and increase the functionality of their devices, which in turn leads global trends in electronics such as Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, 5G and generally more powerful consumer electronics. Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, and we have 18 office locations around the United States. We are currently recruiting for internships located at our office in San Diego, CA (EUV source center of excellence).
As the worlds leading semiconductor lithography systems manufacturer in the Semiconductor Industry, ASML enables our customers to continue to advance their own product development, driving cost down and ever-increasing functionality. This product development cycle has historically been called Moores Law, which states the density of transistors doubles every two years.To make this law a reality the features on the device must shrink in physical size. ASML provided the machines that enable Moores Law to thrive. Additionally the machines we make require advanced sub-systems such as EUV Sources, , magnetically levitated stages with sub-nanometer accuracy, robotic mask delivery systems, mechatronic devices to shape and correct the laser illumination source, and optical modules that can detect sub-nanometer alignment errors and pattern distortions. Temperature stability must be controlled to milli-kelvins, particulate control to ensure defect-free imaging, and operating in vacuum, the technical challenges are endless. Solving these challenges requires expertise in photonics, plasma science, controls, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, embedded software engineering, optics, physics, manufacturing, industrialization, and more. This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. 730, et seq.).
