Manager will determine level based upon the selected applicant's skillset relative to the qualifications listed for this position._ **Preferred Location:** Richmond, VA or Indianapolis, IN **Alternate Locations:** Louisville, KY; St. Louis, MO; Waukesha, WI; Atlanta, GA; Mason, OH; Virginia Beach, VA The primary responsibility of this position is to support Medicare Advantage Pricing and Bidding for the Central and East regions. The **Actuarial Analyst II or III** will identify, evaluate and respond to financial risks inherent in the pricing and development of Part C bids. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: + Analyzes and implements risk contracts including conducting experience analyses, pricing, filing and settlement work; and prepares management reports supporting new capitation initiatives. + Assists in training of actuarial trainees, analysts and specialists. + Coordinates/directs special actuarial projects. **Actuarial Analyst II Qualifications:** + Requires a BS/BA degree; required to have passed at least three Society of Actuaries (SOA) actuarial exams; at least 1 year related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. + Programming skills, especially SQL and VBA, experience in data mining and analysis highly preferred. + Medicare Advantage and/or Medicare Part D experience are preferred. **Actuarial Analyst III Qualifications:** + Requires a BS/BA degree; required to have passed at least four Society of Actuaries (SOA) actuarial exams; at least 3 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. + Strong programming skills, especially SQL and VBA, experience in data mining and analysis highly desired. + Medicare Advantage and/or Medicare Part D experience are preferred. **_Anthem, Inc. is ranked as one of America's Most Admired Companies among health insurers by Fortune magazine and is a 2018 DiversityInc magazine Top 50 Company for Diversity.
