Talent Acquisition Specialist


This is your opportunity to join a fast growing, team oriented organization where WHAT YOU DO MATTERS! AmeriQual Foods in Evansville, IN is seeking a motivated, positive leader to assume duties as a Talent Acquisition Specialist. This position will focus on building and growing AmeriQual's internship, apprenticeship, and college recruitment programs.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Form and cultivate relationships between AmeriQual and high schools, trade schools, and colleges
  • Partner with HR team and hiring managers to determine staffing needs, focusing on internships, apprenticeships, and college and high school recruitment efforts.
  • Coordinate and attend recruitment events, including job fairs, recruitment drives, and informational sessions
  • Work closely with students and leadership team to create and expand programs to achieve mutually beneficial results
  • Maintain close contact with current and prospective students to provide support and collect feedback to continuously improve the program.
  • Create and Post Job Openings
  • Review all resumes and applications, select interview candidates, and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring team.
  • Make employment offers and schedule pre-employment testing and new hire orientation
  • Assist in other HR related functions, including employee engagement activities and employee relations as needed.


Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field preferred
  • Experience coordinating and leading intern and apprenticeship programs
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with prospective and current employees in a positive, professional manner
  • Creativity and resourcefulness, with willingness to participate in recruitment and team events outside of normal work hours
  • Strong computer skills, including Outlook, MS Office, and HRIS systems
  • Strong problem solving, research, data analysis and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize and anticipate changing project needs.
  • Ability to handle confidential information in an appropriate manner
  • Some travel for recruitment efforts will be required.
  • This is a full-time, exempt position with primarily 1st shift hours. Longer hours, evenings and weekend work may be necessary to accommodate business needs.
