Amazon is seeking an experienced Compliance Program Manager with a proven track record of performance to be part of a Denied Party Screening (DPS) compliance team. We are looking for an individual who can provide sanctions guidance and manage projects across all Amazon businesses to drive centralized, low-friction solutions for managing risk, allowing them to focus on their core business.
In this role, you will assist in the continued and further development, implementation and enhancement of the Sanctions and OFAC Program (Program) for all jurisdictions where Amazon operates. You will support and work with the compliance investigation team, management, internal businesses and legal on risk mitigation, and screening and controls systems. You will serve as a SME regarding sanctions and risk compliance. You will partner with Amazon businesses to ensure and track the effectiveness of the Program to comply with the various U.S. and international sanctions rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
Become a subject matter expert in the operational processes and controls supporting DPS.
Guide management in the development/review of applicable policies, procedures, and business practices based on a detailed understanding of sanctions regulations.
Provide expertise on compliance requirements and risks to consider when onboarding a new business to Amazons DPS program.
Ensure that best practices specific to sanctions regulations are shared across team members.
Engage in frequent written and verbal communication with Director/VP level audiences to accomplish goals.
Work on potential Merger & Acquisition (M&A) targets to complete due diligence reviews related to DPS and compliance red flags

Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
6+ years of industry experience with working with sanctions regulations, preferably on a global scale and within a legal framework
JD preferred
Global experience (program launches in multiple geographies simultaneously)
Experience communicating with senior management (Director/VP-level decision-makers)
Ability to turn complex compliance requirements into scalable compliance processes
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with demonstrated experience succeeding in a fast-paced team environment.
High-level leadership and decision-making skills.
Proven track record implementing quality programs with a spirit of continuous improvement.
High attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior leaders across functions including both business and technical teams.
History of teamwork and willingness to roll up ones sleeves to get the job done.
Ability to take ownership and successfully deliver results in a dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environment.
