Summary
The HR Recruiter/Generalist is responsible for a wide range of human resources functions with a heavy focus on recruiting, on-boarding/orientation and employee benefits. This position supports and partners with all Allied Finishing departmental units to help achieve overall operational success.

Essential Functions
Staffing/Recruiting/On-boarding Functions
Manage Allied Finishing’s recruiting efforts developing new recruiting efforts, keeping all recruiting information current, posting open positions, and determining best recruiting strategy per position.
Manage all advertising needs, including advertising budget for all means of recruitment.
Assist with managing Allied Finishing’s employment brand.
Develop and maintain rapport with Allied Finishing supervisors and managers to better understand hiring needs.
Keep managers updated on current recruiting efforts and status of their open positions.
Maintain list of open positions and track recruiting efforts for each position.
Answer inquiries for employment from external candidates as well as from current team members interested in open positions. Ensure internal transfer procedures are followed.
Manage hiring process, to include:
reviewing applications
responding to applications in timely manner
interviewing applicants
arranging interviews and job shadows with managers
making offers
coordinating new hire training
administering new hire orientation
manage new hire paperwork
Conduct all employee reference checks and background checks.
Track recruiting and hiring data for trends and effectiveness.
Maintain and promote the Employee Referral Program.
Schedule and facilitate smooth new hire on-boarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience.

General Human Resources Functions
Maintain employee personnel files and record all employee status changes.
Administer, track and record the new hire review process.
Assist in employee leave programs by maintaining accurate records, responding to inquiries, and interpreting internal policies.
Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of company policies and handbook.
Timely processing of employee terminations.
Maintain disciplinary log.
Drive facility recognition programs; birthdays, anniversaries, company cook-outs.
Assist employees with benefit inquires.
Actively work and problem solve for continuous improvement efforts in all areas of Human Resources.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Experience
At least 1-year of related human resources experience, especially in the area of recruiting, hiring and on-boarding employees.
Bi-lingual in Spanish, required.
Associate’s Degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong attention to detail.
Knowledge and experience with federal and state employment law regulations.
Strong computer skills, including awareness of social media trends for recruitment and hiring.
Strong initiative and drive to recruit, hire and retain talent.
Desire to maintain Human Resources goal of continuous improvement, strong customer service, and example of desired leadership skills.
