Summary: We are looking for a professional with a balance of engineering, operational, and financial skills who is both with a curious and relentless in adding value for our partners. The Senior Asset Manager will work with the Managing Director of Engineering & Operations and the rest of the management team.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical due diligence of natural gas, solar, and wind assets (operating and greenfield).
  • Develops and maintain operational models and/or inputs to financial models. Proposes and defends acquisition prices for investments
  • Identify key drivers of risk and return and form view on each key risk
  • Develop, in association with other team members, project level budgets and timelines
  • Conduct pre-construction energy assessments include loss and uncertainty analysis and associated reporting
  • Stay abreast of infrastructure deals in North America. Uses market intel to influence pricing recommendations
  • Manage external consultants providing technical inputs into investment models
  • Monitor and report on emerging technologies and/or processes applicable to plant design and/or operations
  • Monitor and report on asset performance coordinating with site teams, asset managers, and/or external stakeholders
  • Evaluate operating costs, improvements, and/or process enhancements for existing projects or turnaround opportunities
  • Monitor operational requirements from various statutory and/or regulatory agencies (e.g. NERC, FERC, etc.)
  • Evaluate and/or model performance of power markets, transmission systems, and/or energy infrastructure
  • Support aspects of internal process for transaction assessment/approval including the drafting of Investment Committee memos and presentations

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in an engineering discipline, preferred and/or comparable work experience
  • Technical masters degree and/or MBA, preferable
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma Certified, preferable
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Prior experience w/ engineering consulting and/or plant operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • International power generation experience, preferable
  • Demonstrated Analytical experience required
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build relations and great communication skills.
  • Strong negotiator and ability to influence other
  • Self-Disciplined and Self-Motivated

Local, Regional and Global travel: 35%

Languages: English; Spanish and/or Portuguese a plus but not required
