Job Description Assembles and fabricates electrical and mechanical components in the production of welding units, accessories and related equipment as instructed by supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assemble and/or fabricate electrical and mechanical components in the production of welding units, accessories and related equipment.
Sub-assemble electrical and mechanical components related to the welding units, accessories and related equipment.
Operate all equipment necessary to assemble and fabricate welding units, accessories and related equipment, which include but are not limited to the following; drill presses, power presses, band saws, soldering equipment, hydraulic & manual crimpers, hand tools, power tools, etc.
Read and follow detailed schematics, blue prints or written instructions that illustrate how to assemble welding units, accessories and related equipment components and final assemblies.
Follow verbal instruction for production procedures, when circumstances dictate.
Maintain an orderly storage of raw materials, parts, sub-assemblies and final assemblies.
Deliver welding units, accessories, and related equipment to shipping and/or staging locations.
Operate material handling equipment such as industrial lift trucks, overhead cranes, dollies, handcarts, etc.
Tests and inspects welding units, accessories and related equipment to ensure quality production.
Set-up stud welding systems and perform functional welding tests. Must be able to distinguish good quality stud welds from poor quality welds.
Document the results of all inspections and tests performed.
Perform cycle counts.
May be required to assist in the repair of welding units, accessories and related equipment.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School Diploma with minimum of 4 years experience in the field of electromechanical assembly, familiar with the low and high voltage equipment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
