Buying Point Manager, Seminole, Texas
ADM Golden Peanut and Tree Nuts
This is a full time, exempt position.
Organize, schedule and handle farmerstock peanuts through the facility.
Solicit and encourage Golden Peanut Company services in the local market area while maintaining an awareness of the competition.
Hire, staff and train qualified employees.
Perform pre-season and post-season maintenance.
Market peanut seed.
Negotiate contracts and contract proposals between producers and Golden Peanut Company within the direction of region or area procurement management.
Monitor and control pests and weeds.
Minimize net weight and dollar value shrinkage.
Maintain liaison with the Procurement Manager to keep abreast of managerial responsibilities and changes affecting producer sales and/or services.
Monitor bailouts to ensure that they are handled effectively.
Monitor and improve all quality aspects of farmer stock peanuts including drying, cleaning, handling, storing and loading out to meet the needs of the final customer.
Assist in crop reporting.
Instruct and monitor employees on adhering to all required safety procedures and guidelines.
Monitor Federal State inspection service activities to insure accurate valuation of farmer stock at the time of acquisition.
Promote Golden Peanut Companys services in your local community.
Two to five years of management experience supervising other employees
An ability to market Goldens goods and services
