ASC (Ambulatory Surgery Center) Contracts Administrator

The Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) Administrator (ASCA) is responsible for assisting in the creation of and reviewing agreements for Ambulatory Surgery Centers. In addition, the ASCA will review pricing and additional fee schedules to ensure conformance to Acumed guidelines. The ASCA ensures accurate pricing is loaded into SAP system and provides guidance to Business Services and Accounts Receivable in researching and resolving pricing discrepancies. Establishes priorities and goals, assigns responsibilities within the ASC initiative.


  1. Engages with Regional Business Managers, National Account Managers and the Contract and Pricing Group to maintain current knowledge of target customers and current processes for promoting and selling to key accounts; incorporate goals into contracting tools and strategies.
  2. Maintains current knowledge of developments in healthcare contracting and the impact to Acumed's future and current contracts; reports on competition and pricing trends.
  3. Develops and submits RFPs, RFIs, and other proposals on time while ensuring pricing and terms conform to guidelines and the format is in accordance with Acumed and/or hospital or purchasing group requirements.
  4. Administers contractual agreements with hospitals including pricing agreements, additions or deletions of products, term extensions and other changes governed by the contract.
  5. Interprets customer imposed terms & conditions to ensure conformance to Acumed standards.
  6. Performs contract and deal analysis including analysis of rebates and incentive structures; provides insight to National Accounts Organization to help guide decision-making.
  7. Reports on contract performance and compliance; develops reports and delivers as required. Provides RBM's with regional reports detailing ISC performance in ASC's.
  8. Maintains customer master records related to contracts and pricing in SAP; loads and maintains pricing in SAP.
  9. Researches and resolves pricing discrepancies, requesting credits or adjustments as necessary, and providing such information to requesting party. Analyzes usage and provide reports to requesting parties.
  10. Prepares and administers routine correspondence, negotiation memoranda, and contract documentation to ensure timely and coordinated submittal.
  11. Creates, maintains, trains others on and enforces contract processes and procedures in order to increase efficiencies and effectiveness of contract management. Develops and implements process improvements in alignment with company and departmental strategic goals.


  1. Bachelor's Degree in business, contract management or related field required
  2. 1-2 years' of Contract Administration experience preferred
  3. Experience using Word, Excel, and other related software programs
  4. Excellent written and oral communication skills
  5. Ability to work well under pressure; good time management, problem prevention, and problem-solving skills
  6. Ability to work accurately with close attention to detail and to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  7. Ability to work with co-workers, customers, and outside agencies professionally and tactfully
  8. Ability work independently and as part of a team
  9. Ability to reach out and navigate through a hospital system to find the correct contact for correspondence
  10. SAP experience preferred
