The Manager, Business Systems Applications is responsible for the day-to-day end-user support of third party software. This position is hands-on and is directly involved in Aclara’s daily ALM and PLM enterprise software application support. Responsibilities include the management of Azure DevOps Services, Autodesk Fusion Lifecycle, Quantum Whisper and SharePoint. Essential Functions: Application Lifecycle Management Perform installations, maintenance, documentation and troubleshooting of software. Administer security roles and rights. Perform audits as necessary to conform to standards. Plan and execute upgrades, system migrations, and other related activities. Manage backlog of change requests and bugs. Provide support and guidance to users including basic functional knowledge and advanced troubleshooting. Assist with the development of software training for users. Monitor systems for usage, process conformance and other key parameters. Maintain 99% uptime operation of systems. Consolidate competing systems into Azure DevOps Services. Product Lifecycle Management Manage installations, maintenance, documentation and troubleshooting of software. Oversee security strategy. Perform audits as necessary to conform to standards. Manage implementation of software patches, upgrades, system migrations, and other related activities. Manage backlog of enhancements, change requests, and bugs. Provide support and guidance to users including basic functional knowledge and advanced troubleshooting. Assist with the development of software training for users. Monitor systems for usage, process conformance and other key parameters. Track uptime operation of systems. Consolidate competing systems into Autodesk Fusion Lifecycle. Additional Responsibilities: Define and propose department standards, policies, processes and procedures for software applications. Manage the development and maintenance of a business continuity plan. Remain knowledgeable of information technology and company business operations. Establish, implement, and maintain change reporting procedures. Identify business process improvements throughout the company within the ALM and PLM community. Solicit, attract, and retain personnel who are highly qualified and who exceed Aclara’s standards for attitude, work ethic, self-improvement and commitment to customer satisfaction. Assign resources as needed to ALM and PLM backlogs. Required: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Minimum of 5 or more years’ experience administering ALM and PLM systems. Administrative experience with: Azure DevOps Services, Autodesk Fusion Lifecycle, Windows Server. Scripting experience with PowerShell, .bat files, etc. Working knowledge of ALM methodologies such as Agile and Scrum. Working knowledge of IDEs such as Visual Studio, Eclipse, MPLAB, IAR Workbench. Working knowledge of CAD interoperability with PLM systems. Strong planning and organizational skills. Ability to create and maintain positive and professional business relationships with both internal associates and external customers. Effective communication and presentation skills. Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure, in a fast-paced environment. Strong leadership skills. Advanced knowledge of Office products including Project and Visio. Preferred: Administrative experience with one or more of the following: Subversion, VSS, Vault, ClearCase, ClearQuest, Requisite Pro, newer, Hyper-V, Linux. Working knowledge of ERP systems Working knowledge of IIS, Apache, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, Proxy Servers, Active Directory, etc. Data migration experience between line of business systems, ALM systems and PLM systems Physical Demands: Sitting for long hours. Extensive on-line/computer work.
