Senior sales professionals with start-up/growth brand experience: our client is seeking candidates like you to fill its open National Sales Director role.

This client is a multi-brand media network connecting top tier brands with consumers via scalable solutions. The company offers groundbreaking advertising and marketing options across well-known and respected news media publishers, covering established and new digital platforms to reach the majority of consumers in American markets.

In this crucial role, you will build and grow essential categories in a dynamic, cross-functional start-up where staff members wear many different hats as needed. The ideal candidate has established agency and client relationships with Tier 1 agencies and Fortune 500 brands.

Proven digital media sales success is required, including closing new deals, developing and growing relationships with clients, and creating innovative, cross-platform campaigns.

Primary Responsibilities:

Take responsibility for the full sales cycle (e.g., prospecting, identification of primary stakeholders, negotiating and closing deals)

Offer agencies and clients creative and novel advertising proposals, solutions that address their specific needs and pain points; be the primary point of contact and subject area expert in digital advertising for your clients and agencies, with the ability to clearly communicate the value proposition of company offerings

Build, grow and maintain solid relationships with agencies and clients

Review campaign results, develop and propose approaches to improve future performance

Hit and surpass monthly sales targets and related goals

Required Experience, Skills and Traits:

5+ years experience in digital advertising sales, including experience with integrated, cross-platform sales, ideally in a start-up environment coming out of an own and operated content site.

Ability to thrive in a deadline driven business culture focused on results; understanding of the unique challenges and rewards of promoting a new brand

Convey a positive, can-do attitude while managing numerous internal and external stakeholder relationships and masterminding plans to drive sales

Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills, including the ability to think fast on your feet and improvise creative solutions in the moment; ability to deliver both standard and deck presentations is preferred
