Do you have at 3-5 years of accounting as well as some HR experience? Our client, a membership association in downtown Washington, DC is in need of a Temp-to-Hire Staff Accountant starting right away. This person will provide financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and prepare financial reports. Other duties will include preparing monthly, quarterly and annual entries; working closely with auditors; and reconciling financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
On the HR side, duties will include enrolling new employees; explaining benefit programs and providing general support to the HR department.
Must have at least 3-5 years of accounting experience, financial reporting skills, knowledge of GAAP and strong attention to detail. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or business administration is required along with strong MS Excel skills. MS Dynamics SL is preferred as well as some payroll and human resources experience.
