Job Title: IT Asset / Inventory Management Technician Location: Pittsfield, MA
Job Description: Our client has an immediate opening for an IT Asset / Inventory Management Technician to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to support the cutting-edge technology for some of our nation's core defense services and systems.
Responsibilities include: Representing Information Technology, spanning across all functions of our client's business. Candidate will support one or more of the major IT functional areas including Applications, Infrastructure, Governance, Cyber Security and Architecture and Engineering. Candidate will be expected to model Alignment, Value Creation, Honesty and Trust in partnering with the business to develop and execute on innovative solutions.
Additional Responsibilities IT Asset Management Analyst will be expected to:
Perform critical assessment of issues in various business areas to identify how improvements can be introduced. Provide guidance and assistance to support the successful implementation and enforcement of Information Technology solutions to business problems. Be part of collaborative team attending meetings as required. Support delivery of IT services, following established Information Technology policies and procedures. Continue to identify potential areas of continuous improvement. Perform Hardware and Software Asset Auditing and Reporting. Verification of auto discovery to system of record. Perform software input into tools (Vendor, Contracts, PO's, and Licensing). Maintain approved software listing with Security and help identify gaps. Assist with Hardware Ordering for new hires and for lease refreshes. Manage networking lease schedules to ensure equipment is refreshed and returned to vendor on time in order to not incur added costs to IT. Provide training to new IT employees on Asset Management Policy/Procedures. Peripheral Inventory, Stock, and automate ordering to ensure techs/user have what they need. Maintain updates on IT web pages. Assist with communication plans and marketing.
