Scantron is working with the Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB) to develop a Board Certification Examination in the area of Pediatric Medicine. To support the development of a high quality, comprehensive examination, Scantron is looking for pediatricians to utilize and share their expertise as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to fill a variety of roles, including test question writers, test question reviewers, blueprint reviewers, and to complete a job analysis survey.
The time commitment will vary, depending on role, but will typically require 5-20 hours per week, depending on availability, over the course of a 3-5 month period. All SME tasks/activities will be performed remotely.
Ideal candidates will have:
Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) and certification in pediatrics in one or more of the following subspecialties:
Pediatric Intensive Care
Gastroenterology and Hepatobiliary System
Hematology and Oncology
Immunology and Allergy
Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Child Protection/Child Abuse
Immunization in children
Toxicology in pediatric patients
Minimum of 6 years post subspecialty certification in the field of pediatric medicine
Experience in creating exams at the post graduate level
Active involvement in academic and scholarly activities
Proficient in the English language
Access to non-public computer, secure internet connection, and email
Minimum computer system requirements: Windows 7 or Mac OS X v10.6
American Board of Pediatrics Board Certification and/or equivalent
